The "Coolest Time"

Just an  quick update on the kids: caleb is in 6th grade this year and is taking orchestra and choir. He is also still active in Boy Scouts and is excited to have his Dad do several of the activities with him. Next weekend, they will go on a campout. Last week, the  middle school and high school hosted a 24 hour prayer event at the school. Caleb wanted to go and we told him ok, but were surprise to find out, he had signed himself and Michael up for the 2am to 4am slot. We were not sure if he could do it, but they did and his comment was," That was the coolest thing, I have ever done." It was a good reminder to us old folks, that making prayer a priority and getting up those extra hours in the am , can give us the chance to have the "coolest time", too. 2am may be a bit eary but I am going to try to get up early to have some extra time with the Lord.

"Missionary Ladies in Training"

Last saturday, I was blessed to share with a group of ladies that were "missionaries in training. " How wonderful to see their excitedment and passion to be "On Mission" with God! I spoke on God's call on your life, importance of falling in Love with Christ and having every need meet by Him, Waiting and praying for a Christian husband, Culture shock and adapting to new cultures, and a few other topics. What they did not realize is that I get very nervous speaking in front of people and do much better in small groups with people I have a relationship with. They were so gracious and kind and made me feel so welcome. The session was about 2 hours. per their request. but they blessed me with coffee coupons to a local coffee place and that was a real treat. Please pray for this group of ladies as they make themselves available for service to the Lord, and pray for the upcoming group which I get the pleasure of teaching next year.

Men's Group From Mambugan Bible Church

Pray for these Men who will be leading there own Bible Studies soon. We had a great time Monday by digging into the Word together.  MG
