Run the Race...

As a follower of Jesus, my character is under construction everyday. I am determined to die to the old life and runto Jesus. I want to obtain the prize that He promises true Believers. Are you with me? Let's fight the battle to defeat the old self that hinders the New Man. Through the Word and through prayer, I will not give up! Submitting my life to Christ, despite difficulty, I will Stand firm on His truth and run the race He has set before me. gman

Mahal, Niya Tayo

Tonight was amazing as I attended the "Passion" concert here in Manila. It was breathtaking hearing  around 20,000 filipno's singing "Mahal, Niya Tayo"  (He loves us). There was a challenging message from the evangelist about whether a person was a seed on the shelf, or one that had died to self and was planted in the ground so that it could produce more fruit. We were also reminded that the Lord's  "life movie" is amazing, and being able to play a small part just so that we can bring glory to the Father is worth it all. Yes, a 43 year old mom, of two, was clapping, singing, shouting,  and Oh yeah,  a little jig or two with my friend Ruth and a crew of college students attending with Jeff and Kim Cruse. I sat next to Kaycee, one of my spiritual daughters, and it was delightful to see her experience her first christian concert. All we do and all we can be is all about bring Glory to our Saviour who gave His life for us so that we could be vessels to be filled up and poured out for Him. If you are not a concert going, try it sometime. It is alot of fun and makes you feel young again. ( that's for all you over 40)

Mentoring the Girls

I just got back from Batnagas after spending a couple of days with my precious "spitirual daughters". Such a blessing to see their desire for the Lord and see them growing in their faith. Reyz, my TEL co -partner with them is incredibile as she is teaching them weekly. This week, we discussed Psalm 139, how God knows everything about us and nothing is hidden from him. Encouraging and challenging to know that He searches our heart , knows our anxious thoughts and leads us in His Everlasting way.
I spent time with my "Older" girls, teaching the importance of having a burden for the Lost, having a plan of action to see the Gospel shared, and catching the vision of seeing God work as we become workers for the Harvest. Kaycee recently returnd after serving as a summer missionary with Nehemiah teams. She had amazing stories to tell of how people who have never heard responded to the Gospel.   Please pray for these high and college studies as they  begin school in a few weeks. Pray that they will be lights and witnesses in the places God places them.

Going on a Trip

Dear Friends, we are returning home after a long journey. It has been three years since we last were home and we are looking forward to our upcoming furlough: June/July. We are thankful that through our frequent flyer miles, we received two free tickets and only needed to purchase two. There is so much to do before we come and we certainly need your prayers.

In the last year, God has opened our eyes to His continued grace. We have witnessed firsthand how the Lord can work in circumstances if we just pray and ask Him. We have observed God working in many areas within our own ministry, but also in our daily walks with Him. Walking daily with Him is the most important aspect of our personal ministry because it’s where the power for service lies. So far, in 2010, the Lord has let us walk through some fires we did not see coming. Katherine has had several medical issues. Jacob, had knee surgery in March. He is in therapy now and we are praying he will be back to 100% by the fall. Caleb recently spent time in the hospital for mononucleosis and enlarged spleen and has been in recovery since that time. Thank you for your prayers in these matters as we are expecting the Lord to allow us to return home strong.

Just recently, it was our privilege to host two young men in our home, JP and Carl. Both were actively involved in their local church and school campuses. We asked them to help build a summer volunteer evangelism team in Manila. Our goal was to train them and build a platform of opportunity for them to share the Gospel in the big city, Manila. With sixteen million people around us, we took the challenge to preach the gospel in order to win souls for Christ. “Praise the Lord” for the opportunity to reach out publicly while it’s still legal to do so here. This summer, we had four outdoor street meetings, shared the Gospel with a few hundred, partnered with three churches, and witnessed people respond to Gospel. It was a blessing for us to observe the Lord work through our church contacts and see them minister faithfully with us. We are praying that the fruit of our labors will begin to take root in the hearts of men. All Glory to the Lord!

We are starting to pack now for departure, helping the boys finish school, as well as plan and attend a staff retreat one day prior to the flight. The schedule will be busy and stressful and we covet your prayers during this time.

Our furlough is short but we are looking forward to seeing you. . Email: mgrant-@hotmail.com

Looking forward to seeing you soon!!!

Mission Accomplished

Looking back over the last few months, I can only express joy and great thankfulness to the Lord. He allowed us to form a volunteer Gospel team this Summer and train a couple of fine men. (Edgardo) a.k.a. JP and Carl (pictured here) made a special commitment and sacrifice this Summer to serve under TEL. They were asked to do many things they had never experienced before in ministry.Because of their commitment and flexibility, we have been truly blessed. I want to thank them for desiring to be on Mission with God and sharing the "Light of Life "to those whom have never heard in Manila. Along side Dir. Mike Tripp, and myself, we  had the priveledge to preach to over 200 people. Fruit produced: Over 60 individuals counseled,  three church bodies mobilized for evangelism, and doors opened in stratigic areas of the city. We were able to set the stage for future outreach by building bridges with the local churches and pastors. To God be the Glory, michael

When Doors Open Walk Through

Friends, we had a fantastic street meeting on Thursday. We were able to team up with a local church for an outside Evangelistic event and over fifty residence heard the Gospel. Here are some pics from the event. First our team, and then personal witnessing encounters.

Someone is Bending the Knee: Praying for me

Found these words in a notebook this evening. Not sure who wrote them but they ministered to my heart.

Today, the trials came,
With them tears and pain,
Just when I though I couldn't endure:
You're love was there to see me through.
Just when I felt so alone,
I felt Your Spirit sweet  & strong,
That is when I knew,

Someone is praying for me
Someone is bending the knee,
Someone is asking the Lord up above
To shine His Grace on me,

Thank you to all  those who have been keeping us in your Prayer.
Love in Him
Katherine
